file0002093153158Laser cutting is used in many applications not only because it provides excellent precision and a super smooth finish but also because many materials are very difficult to cut through using conventional cutting methods. Laser cutting can accommodate complex designs through most materials which are applied in industrial, manufacturing, and engineering processes.

There are however, a number of factors which may affect the maximum cutting rate of laser cutting. These include laser power, material thickness, process type (reactive or inert,) and material properties. Common industrial systems (≥1 kW) will cut carbon steel metal from 0.51 – 13 mm in thickness. For all intents and purposes, a laser can be up to thirty times faster than standard sawing.
