The company, known for producing commercial steel walk doors and windows, needed a solution that would address the sensitivity of the insulated material within its door system. After exploring various options, Global turned to DVUV and discovered the benefits of UV powder coating.

Established in 2002, Global faced challenges with its traditional pre-finished parts, experiencing issues like adhesion and peeling over the years. The company primarily used an electrostatic system for pre-painting, which involved water-based paint application followed by drying in an oven. To address these problems, Global sought alternative solutions, testing different electrostatic systems and even experimenting with a higher heat powder coating process. However, none proved satisfactory until the discovery of UV powder coatings.

UV powder coatings, developed in the late 1990s, emerged as a game-changer for Global. Not only are they environmentally friendly, but they are also well-suited for heat-sensitive materials, offering efficiency compared to traditional finishing processes. This innovation not only resolved Global’s quality concerns but also addressed the temperature sensitivity of its door components.
